Allied Artists Collaborate on Murals

Two artists from Allied Arts are teaming up to help Parkview Elementary School create two murals.

The first is a painted tree mural made out of wood, which will be taught by Ben Mann. The second is a clay mural that includes clay leaves, bugs, flowers, and birds and the workshop will be taught by Jacquie Bresadola. The teachers will choose a group of 25 students to be the designers of the murals. The 25 students will choose the drawings that will be used for the clay leaves, bugs, flowers, and birds. During a workshop students will sculpt the clay figures and learn the fundamentals of clay. The two murals will be side by side on one wall. They are connected because the clay figures will be mounted on the painted wood the tree. For example a clay bird from the clay mural will be on the branch of the tree mural. Each student will be able to help create the two murals and have their art on display for however long the building is there.
